Pantograph Stack lifter for SF4-8-4's

I'm modeling the Sante Fe in N scale and I have a problem,Bachmann is the only company that makes 4-8-4's except brass, but Bachmann makes there 4-8-4's without pantograph stack lifters. I have attempted to make them myself but alas I failed, and I don't want to pay $500 for brass. Do you have any suggestions
