Do you want a wild guess from people, or just expecting those who model those roads to answer? I'll guess 5. Am I close? Seriously, I know of one avid Rock Island modeler because that was his home town, but we don't have anyone modeling the KATY or Frisco here in Arizona.

I have a Bachmann 2-8-0 HO scale Rock Island model, but my favorite line's the Burlington Route. Sorry, the part of the country I come from is in love with the CB&Q, Wabash, Nickle Plate, New York Central and Gulf, Mobile & Ohio.

I'm inquiring about aquiring a couple of Rock Island SD40-2s.
Is this close enough?

I model it indirectly as in I am planning to have a live interchange with the Rock on the new layout.

However, I'm also toying with the idea of making part of the layout on a different level, and that level will be the Rock Island which will tie in with the CB&Q at some point.

Apparently enough that Walthers thought an E60CP painted for the Rock would sell and one for the PRR wouldn't so it must be hundreds of thousands based on that logic.

I model the Rock Island but in a weird way. See sig or check my profile to see what I mean.

Thanks,
Jeremy
