L.A. Breakers?
Posted by Randall_Roberts on Thursday, July 31, 2008 11:12 AM
My Wordless Wednesday post of yesterday stirred a respectable bit of interest. It's a photo of one of the Upshire modules that was at The National Model Train Show in Anaheim recently. My notes say that Upshire belongs to the L.A. Breakers club (I hope I got that right). What makes it interesting is that it's early 20th Century UK rail modeled in O scale by a Los Angeles based club.

I didn't get nearly as many photos as I'd have liked, because trying to get down the information about the trains and layouts you're photographing is so time consuming. I only got three images of Upshire, but I'd hoped to find more online. But a web search doesn't find anything on L.A. Breakers or Upshire that relates to a model railroad except my own post. So if anyone can put me in touch with the club, I'd be grateful. I really would like to see more photos of their layout online. I'd help them get a site up, if they needed. Here's the three images that I took:

L.A. Buffers O Scale Upshire #2

L.A. Buffers O Scale Upshire #3

Best!
