No, that isn't Z scale. You were looking at an older Wordless Wednesday post. I feature works of different modelers each week. (I do use different images by the same modeler, but not two weeks in a row.) That is S scale. It is a modern American west layout by French modeler Philippe Coquet... that layout is in France by the way.
I think you'll agree his work is outstanding. I plan on featuring more of his images in the months to come
Also in that gallery you'll find Jim O'Connell's work. This is Z scale:
Best!
THIS is Z scale?!??!

Though I can't help you contact Bruce, if you possibly do, add my admiration to the comments on his photograph. It's beautiful, and he's certainly captured the essence and atmosphere of one of my favorite train-watching spots here in Northern California. And the fact that it's in Z scale is even more impressive!

On my http://modeltrains.about.com blog I participate in what bloggers call "Wordless Wednesday". This is basically a Wednesday blog post that consists of an image instead of text.
Today I've posted an image I took at the National Train Show on Saturday. It's of Bruce Goehman's Feather River Canyon Z scale layout. I have no idea how to reach Bruce, and a web search didn't yield anything useful. If anyone knows how to contact him please let him know. I'd like him to see the nice comments about the layout that people have been leaving on the blog post.
