One question...

I have been modeling HO for only about 11 years now ( i am 18) and have decided to get into N scale, but in designing the preliminary sketch for the layout I cannot think of one aspect. Can anyone help me as to some resonable curve radius that i can use. I am well versed in HO, of corse, but have no idea what any of the curve values are like. Just to get it out in the open, i have a 6' x 9' room to place this masterpeice in and there fore radius is not a verybig concern, but a concern none the less. Also, I have a small fleet that I am building of two or three six- axle engines but in testing they will take some pretty tight turns when nessecary. If anyone could just throw a few numbers out at me, I would appriciate it.

Basically the same curve rule applies in N scale as it does HO..The bigger the better you trains will look and run..The same modeling principles apply to N scale as it does for HO...You just working in a smaller scale.

the radius for kato unitrack is: 12-3/8"

it apears you can get 9",11",and 19"

I recommend using a curve radius in N of no less than 2/3 the radius you would use in HO scale. If you can use HO radius standards on your N layout , you should[:)]
