Hey, I have a few of those on the newly-posted Great Passenger Trains #2, as well as you can now vote for one not listed. BY THE WAY,4884bigboy, THE CITY of EVERYWHERE WAS THE NICKNAME OF THE C&NW/UP/SP Trains- City of Denver(!!!), City of San Francisco, you get the idea.

Yes, I'll probably get more complaints about your favorite train isn't up there(I will admit, though, HOW'D I MISS THE SUPER CHIEF!!!???[banghead]), but to list every name train ever would be more of a headache than a poll fo me. If your train ain't up there, check Great Pssngr. Trains #2.

No City of Denver, NO SUPERCHIEF(!!!???), Golden State Limited, or Overland Limited!!!!??? Those were the greatest!!!! Oh well, I voted for SP's Daylight Limited because that would be my next favorite.

As the one who posted the pole, I wish I could have added a few more trains too. Maybe I'll post a 2nd section of "Great American Passenger Trains."

None of the above!!! I would like to see the return of the C&O's George Washington or FFV.
I can not understand how anybody can have a poll on passenger trains and not mention the George Washington or the FFV or the B&O Capitol Limited.
The PRR,NYC GN,UP,RI,or SF was not the only roads offering first class passenger service..[}:)][:0][:D]

Broadway Limited & 20th Century equally.

They were beautiful examples of American railroading from the eastern U.S.
Of course, if either came back, it would be under the Amtrak banner. While it would be wonderful, it just wouldn't be the same level of service with "Amcans" and GE Genesis units. Even today's Superliner cars couldn't hold a candle to the riding qualities and comfort of the "Heritage" type cars as well as the service these trains once offered.

As a Burlington Route fan, I would have to choose the California Zephyr.
CB&Q-D&RGW-WP California Zephyr-gone but always remembered[:(]
