Source for scale escutcheon pins for scratch building?

I'm building a 1:20.3 wood hooper from plans in Garden Railways. It calls for escutcheon pins (#18 x 1/4"). Anybody know of a source for these? Ozark Miniatures, where I got a lot of other 1:20.3 details, doesn't seem to make them. Anybody have good ideas for creating from scratch?
