Thanks Tom. I love my Bachmann Connie so I'm seriously thinking about a Mountain.

The only thing I might be concerned with on #4's would be the 4-wheel leading truck of the Mountain, but mine has a lot of 'play' in it. I know the drivers have plenty of 'slop' in them to allow them to negotiate tight radii. If I remember, the Peco is closer to a #4-1/2, so I shouldn't think there would be a problem. I've got 2 Spectrum Heavy 4-8-2's and they're darn good lokies. Tom

Really this isn't so much about Bachmann's Mountain type but any of them, though the Bachmann is the one I'm thinking of buying. My question is how well does this engine take to #4 turnouts. Acutally I'm using Peco medium insulfrong turnouts in my yard because of space concerns and the Atlas designation of #4 comes closest to this in a Peco. I have a Bachmann 2-8-0 Consolidated which has no problem at all with these turnouts so I'm thinking the Mountain won't either.
Thanks for any help!
