Anyone know of any MRs about Bob Hayden's Carrbasset and Dead River Railway besides the 1998 issue.

Check old RMC's also. Bob was a regular contributor before joining Kalmbach. I also think Kalmbach did one of their books on it as I recall.

I believe Allen Keller did a Great Model Railroads video on the layout as well.

I think he was in the first Great Model Railroads issue. Also check out this web site for more

Be careful though you might just get interested in 2 foot modeling. I know I did and my branch line is now going to be an Sn2 narrow gauge line.
Enjoy

Some issues of MR from the 1980's and 1990's have Carabasset and Dead River switching problems. The MR homepage may have a search engine for articles on it.

Wasn't Dave Frary's scenery book based on the C&DR railroad? Didn't they create it together, or one of them gave it to the other one or something like that?

Dave's scenery book used one of the versions of the CDR for examples of his scenery processes. Bob's current layout was a feature in Great Model Railroads in the late 90's or maybe 2000.
