How do I remove a Micro Engineering turnout spring? I want to use the turnout with a tortoise so I must remove the spring. How do I do that without destroying the turnout? The turnout is DCC ready and code 83.

Flip the turnout over and you will see a little plastic tab glued to the bottom of the turnout on the throw bar area.  Gently pull the tab off.  From there it will be obvious...The spring may go flying so be careful.  That's all there is to it.
