putting an Atlas snap switch back together when they come apart? {I'm talking about those little plastic parts inside the solenoid case. Just had one fall apart between the base and terrain system. Couldnt find the parts and when I did it was a bear to put together in limited space.

How about those little screws that attach drivers to wheels on steam locs {no screw slot).

Come on guys I love this hobby but it has its moments. What are yours?[:D]

i have a number of atlas snaps, and ive ripped them apart many times and put them back together and OH MAN is it a pain in the rear. usualy i can get them back togeather - small hands do have there benefits no matter who says what! Attaching the curved handrails to cabooses and such are also a pain because they keep wanting to rotate between your fingers or pliers.

Assembling a MT N scale coupler, thats why I now only buy them assembled.

Soldering an electrical feeder wire to N scale track after not doing it for about three years.

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.

I don't have a leg to stand on.

Hehehe - those are good ones. [(-D]

I'd add to this trying to find an MT spring after it has flown off to a place that it will probably never be found again (and it's the last one you have on hand)! [banghead][censored]

I'll second that! I thought I'd go ballistic when I was trying to get the main rods back into the cylinders on my Mantua 4-6-2 Pacific. Arrgh! I'm getting better at assembling MT couplers, but I still don't like them. Too bad McHenry doesn't make N-scale couplers......

N-scale couplers. I have an HO layout. Sometimes I think that it is to small, but I recently aquired a small N-scale loop and Loco for my kids science project. I had to replace the Loco's couplers (hook) to pull the roling stock I got with knuckle couplers. OH MY GOD. I mean, I have excellent hand skills, but you guys that work in N-scale have my ultimate respect. You guys that work in Z-scale ... there is something wrong with you (ha)

And I thought putting springs on a HO Kadee coupler was difficult! [banghead]
