I've seen GG-1s...lived around the corner from Traffic Ave in Queens from 1962-1979. LIRR and Pennsylvania had an interchange track that met under the BMT Myrtle Avenue line. My sons are young, but I'm about to hit 50, believe it or not.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
Shot this one in Seaford, DE last week. The chicken wire radiator grilles and the short fuel tank give it away as an original PC engine... Not sure of the original road number.
Given that PC merger took place 40 years ago (geez! That long?) I doubt there are many PRR or NYC engines still running for NS or CSX. There's probably a ton in short line service, though.

Funny you spelled ConRail like that, it was the original spelling.

I guess I'm showing my advanced age. I'll never be over PC. I wonder if there are any CSX or NS locos old enough to have been repainted through four or five owners?
See... If they had DCC, that engine would only move if you WANTED it to move!

I once caught a train in my pajama's. How it got in my pajama's I'll never know... (sorry, Groucho)
Thank you guys!
What I wanted was for the blue to be a bit lighter than the blue on the model. It's hard to tell in that photo. But in this Next Photo you can tell.
I messed up a little bit on the nose decals, but I'll fix that later. The WC on the battary box on the side of the cab, I messed up the "W" along time ago. I'll fix that later too.
Here are some of my other Patch Projects I woudl like to do.
Another Style of Patching on the SD45s. This was more common.

Possiably a BN SD45. This BN SD45 was one of the last Green Weenies on the WC.

Nice SD45...Always was one of the better looking schemes for a WC SD45 to be in (besides WC itself, of course.)

If you have been following along with me you know that I have a ATSF SD45 I wanted to patch. Well I got around to patching one side. I'll post more photos when I get farther. I still have to do the nose and the other side.
The SD45 I'm modeling was one of the very few that kept it's orginal number, but ran around in WC reporting marks.
