European trains at Finger Lakes Railfair, Ithaca, NY, April 26-27

Members of the Central New York Chapter of European Train Enthusiasts will be showing their n-scale, Bend Track-based, modular layout at the Finger Lakes Railfair in Lansing (just north of Ithaca), NY the weekend of April 26-27. This will be our first departure from a straight linear layout and will provide additional options in terms of running. To see more images of the modules see pictures and reports from the Central New York Train Fair in Syracuse last November and the Great Train Expo in Rochester this past February at <http://web.syr.edu/~pdverhey/ete-cny/minutes.htm>.

More information on the modules depicted in "Google Earth" fashion below can be found at <http://www.philobiblon.com/eisenbahn/pvmodule.shtml>.

Our interpretation of the Bend Track standard can also be found at <http://www.philobiblon.com/ete-cny>.

In addition to running trains we will also have prototype information on-hand about the motive power and some of the more unusual consists being run.

Show hours are 10-5 on Saturday and 10-4 Sunday. A flyer with directions can be downloaded at <http://www.lehighvalleyrr.com/Railfair%20Poster-2008.pdf>.

Please visit us and see what we're about. Have n-scale European stock but no layout, bring it and let it stretch its wheels for a spell on the layout.

We look forward to welcoming you and sharing our enjoyment of European trains and modeling.

I'm not an N-scaler myself, but I will be attending the show. It'll be my first time at this particular show, but I've heard only good things...consider this a kindly BUMPWhistling [:-^]

Just my thoughts, ideas, opinions and experiences. Others may vary.

 HO and N Scale.

After long and careful thought, they have convinced me. I have come to the conclusion that they are right. The aliens did it.
