I have only tried one, and I actually thought it was kind of boring. There is nothing particularly exciting about getting a train moving and then watching it roll down the track for 15 minutes. But then the demo I tried didn't offer any opportunities for switching. Personally, I find an F15 flight simulator more exciting. . . but let's hear some other opinions.

Train Simulator is neat. Unfortunately, the default routes are not to good but the following people make great routes:

www.3dtrainstuff.com

Of course, model railroading is better in my opinion because MRing is a lot more flexible.

If only the graphics of Trainz 2004 with the realism of MSTS could be combined

Be advised, the traffic at your two o'clock is a Lifeguard helicopter, opposite direction of travel on a straight in approach to Methodist Hospital downtown. Maintain visual seperation at all times. Report traffic in sight.

Sorry, I had to add that! I'm a flight nurse/paramedic/train nut! [;)]

I love MSTS, I also like the raildriver I got from this website:
http://www.raildriver.com/cabcontrollers.php
It's a cab controller that lets you run with levers and not with keys. It was reviewed in Model Railroader several months ago. It cost $150.00 + $17.00 (or so) tax and shipping, But it is worth the money and I highly recomend it to any one.[:D]

Another nice thing about this is eventally they're going to come out with a way to conect it to your anolog train layout. Once they do this. I'll have my dad as a conductor, and i'll be in another room driving my train looking at a TV monitor from a camera attached to the train, While my dad and I use radios to communicate.[:D][:D][:D]

Phoey on MSTS and the like. [V]
I'd rather spend the time on building something, so I would have something to show for the hours invested!
