As the others have stated it is indeed an Atlas product manufactured for them by Kato. These drives are considered by some to be some of the best running drives ever built (others may not think so). The model is of an alco RS11 which the D&H also clasified as a DL-701. although it is not a completly accurate model for the D&H it passes muster close enough. There are a few minor spotting differences. glad to hear you enjoy running it.

<Edit> I guess I should read the posts a little closer. I was thinking this was an HO scale model. I have to admit I am not as up to speed on N scale models so some of what I said above may not apply. I did notice, after looking at the pictures again, that it is an undecorated model that someone painted in the D&H scheme. Model paint manufacturers make the D&H blue and grey paints if you need to touch up the chipped areas

Interesting Engine w/ pictures

Heyy guys,

I picked this N Scale engine up at springfield train show about a year ago, and ive been running it ever since and never put to much thought into it. Recently, i was browsing kato products and i just couldnt seem to find this engine. It has a kato motor, Micro Trains couplers, and i believe an atlas shell. I honestly dont know what type of engine this is. Ive tossed RS 11 back and forth but again im stumped. Does anyone have any information on this engine at all?

Thankyou again,

Keith.
