20$ to spend at LHS

Got a 2 oz. bottle of acrylic "rust red" from AC Moore last weekend on sale for 50 cents.

I'd do more studying (as there are many techniques), settle on the one(s) you want to try, and go to Wal-Mart or Michaels for the materials.  Your $20 will go much further.

And for that price I'd be looking at artists chalks. 

I used to get a lot from the lady that did all the chalkboard drawings in the local supermarket.  When they got too small for her to use she'd give them to me.  I'd shave those puppies down to dust and weather away!

Probably the gas to get there and back home...

Some basic paint colors like rust, dirt and grime would just about eat up $20.

unless you happen to find a sale (or your LHS discounts everything) then you're likely to need a bit more than $20 . it really doesn't take much of this stuff to weather a car or small building so it should last you quite a while

I am going to my local bobby shop (LHS) today!

My main focus is weathering materials.

I have never weathered before and truly do not understand the technique.. so, with my 20$ what should I purchase?
