No pictures yet, working on it.
True Highiron, there isn't a comparison. Kato has a really good detail to this car.
Kato engine? me? probably not.
Proto 2000 is enough for me.
I do plan on getting Walthers Amtrak coaches, but not Superliners.
These will be bought after I've purchased my VIA & CP fleet first.

I can recommend the Walthers Superliner cars - I have a set of five of these (Coach Baggage, Coach, Lounge, Diner, Sleeper) in Amtrak Phase 2 livery, and they are superb. Just be careful about minimum radius - though if you can run the Kato car this shouldn't be a problem. I'm planning to do some super-detailing on my Superliners - will be fitting Kadee #58s and adding the grabrails that came with the coach, not sure what else to fit at the moment, will start with the easier parts to find first!

Since all my passenger cars are Roco, I'll probably stick with them.

Get it? Bug.... V W.......Volkswagen......Oh, forget it.

BTW, Kato's business cars are nice. Pricey, but nice. Dave

There is no comparision whatsoever Kato versus Athearn. NONE. THe kato car makes the Athearn (Pick any car) look like a wax block.

By the way, the Walthers Cars are expensive (about 32- each) And they may operate on 24" on up.

Sadly, Kato has not made any other passenger cars to go with the Business car. To me, this is a grossly costly oversight. I would not care of Kato cars cost 100- each, with that level of detail and a full consist.. Id be happy too.
