Hey Scottydog,

RE FYI Bachman engines in G. The 4-6-0 is a ten-wheeler and is refered to as the "annie" for 10 year anniversery edition, the Mogul is a 2-6-0 arraingment and is called the "indy" short for industrial, but enough of that.

Go to the Bachmann website, click on "ask the Bach-mann" and pose your question there also, Bachmann gives pretty good advice when it comes to troubleshooting thier products.

I only have a couple of thoughts:

Are you using any kind of locking substance, the cheapest fix might be to try using "Loc-tite" on the screw. If this doesnt work then perhaps the axle threading is shot or the axle is cracked (was it ever dropped?) then you have two choices. You can send the Loco to Bachmann and have them fix it, If its under warrenty its free, if not they'll charge you for it, but it shouldnt be too much. Just be prepared for this to take some time. Bachmann is pretty good about getting things done but the transit time between when you ship it, it arrives, it sits in the mail room, gets to the service dept, someone looks at it, etc, etc could take a few weeks. OR If you feel pretty confident about tearing it apart, contact the service dept and order that rear wheel/axle parts, even if you only replace the axle. at least you'll have all the parts to do whatever might crop up. Thats why most people send it back to the factory and let Bachmann figure it out. Good Luck.

   Have fun with your trains
