John, its always wonderful when an entire family can enjoy the same hobby together.

(I don't want to get into trouble later, so the following is mostly humor, with a hint of seriousness, but is not intended to be sexist)

Be careful though, it sounds like you are outnumbered 4 to 1. Just make sure they let you have your turn, after all you were in this hobby first. [:)]

And John,

Your questions might be exactly the same questions someone else has, but might be a bit shy about asking. As a former Navy instructor, I have to say, The only stupid question is the one you didn't ask - or that you asked right after someone else posed the exact same question and you weren't paying attention to the answer.

Even if I know the answer to many of the questions, I still get varying points of view from each answer. It's a good way to pick up other pointers and tips.

I just want to say thanks to all of you. I've had trains my whole life. I have 3 daughters and we are really enjoying the hobby,my wife is known picking out engines and knows the difference between them. I have had a few minor problems but one of you have the answer or steer me in the right direction. I really enjoy opening this form and learning from other model railroaders. Keep up the great topics Thanks John
