Are you asking about the collector market such as the Greenberg Price Guides? I don't know if the HO collectors market is big enough yet for one of these.

No, because there is not recognized collectability to HO trains such as there is for O-gauge Lionel, Flyer, etc. A price guide was attempted for Varney HO some years ago but its prices were utter nonsense. While you may find individuals who collect old John English, pre-war Mantua, or even Tycho, there is no group interest among hobbyists in any of these items (unopened FSM kits might be considered the exception). Prices of pre-owned HO are set by the buyer and seller pretty much one item at a time. Something going for $25 this week is just as likely to sell for $75 next time if the right buyer comes along - just take a look at eBay.
