Thanx for your quick answer. It came with a 9 pin plug.  On a little circuit are two tiny things tahat are so small I can"t tell if they are resistors or not. I will assume they are & wire resistors.

Is the lighting directional? If so, then they're diodes, and not resistors, and it has 12 volt lighting. If it's not directional, then yes, they are resistors. I think diodes usually have a gray band on one end to tell which way the current flows.

  Hi There;

      I am installing  TSU 1000 in a Mantua Classics (life Like)  2-6-6-2 & I was wondering if I need to add resistors for the the headlight & tender light. I lokked over the spec sheet that came with the loco but there is no info on what voltage the lights are.

                                           Thanx in advance for any help;Tom
