Your opening statement really answers your question. Also, it depends on what locomotive(s) you are interested in. For example, most manufacturers offer F7's, and all have strengths and weaknesses. If you use the forum's search engine, you'll find that many, many discussions have taken place on this subject before. It's primarily a matter of personal taste and choice.

Hello

I know the q about the best product is impossible to answer, but nevertheless:

I consider buying som HO Intermountain locos and rolling stock, and is interested in opinions about how these product compare against others like Life-like, Kato and Atlas, both regarding running qualities, price and details.

Could you please give me some of your personal experience on this!
