i like that how you have all of your stuff under the layout, like your chair i believe. if i had room i'd do that. it looks awesome. i just wish i had that kind of room.

what did you use as the cement plant?

Indeed, the motive power looks *nice*. I have the same warehouse kit although I have a kitbash in mind for it.

Heck, I need to take some photos too...I just hate to show pics of my layout before it's "ready for prime time", but at least I have most of my street surface and a couple structures done!

Everything looks like its off to a great start, your detailed motive looks awesome. One suggestion would be to weather the building pictured on your main page.

Now if i werent so lazy, I would also make a website with pictures of my layout.

Great start, you seem to be following the same method I used. Get the track down and working before adding scenery.

I'm a little farther along than your pictures show, but the scenery is moving alone slowly. Once all the color is on the mountains, then the dreaded ballasting begins.

on the other side of the building is where the big trucks get loaded, those ones there are small/local loads hand loaded. the forklift is out or servise right now because it is broke i have very unhappy workers right now but hope to have a new one soon, lol. no the bench work is very very sturdy i can put diagnol ones because this is also my bed room and i have my bed underneath the layout you will see in future pics.

I can see that you have a good start.

I would suggest that you add some diagonal bracing to the legs. It doesn't appear from the pictures that you have any.

Enjoy

Nice start. I hope to be at that stage soon. I still need to build some benchwork first.

Hi Joey;

Looks good. One thing you might want to consider is adding a (another) forklift to the loading dock. In your era, you would not see a couple of people lifting a big box as shown in your first loading dock picture. You may also want to park the trailer(s) so that the forklifts can driver right into them.

Have fun.

i used woodland scenics yard pads very cheap and very easy nd ballast goes on great, i have a mixture of foam and cork on the main line but i really like the foam pads for the yards.
