That's only 1600 square feet. The train room in my basement is 38'x46' , that's almost 1750. I'm sure that someone has even more space than that.[:D]

Oh yeah, it will be hard to double deck that outdoor layout, and it isn't much fun when it rains.[:P][swg]

Rick,

[wow] This guy sure has his work cut out for him moving dirt!
Hmmmm... wonder how many shovel blades he'll wear out. [:D]

I have an area on the south side of my house which is 80' long west to east. It is 10' wide on the west end and 32' wide on the east end. I have been thinking that someday I would like to build a 'G' scale in that area with a pond and waterfall. But for now I am too involved in my HO layout.

This guy kinda screwed up though, he's not using clean dirt.

He's going to have hard time shaping the soil with all those roots still in the dirt, thats a problem and getting rid of root systems in dirt is a pain...it can lead to unwanted plants all over his garden and make it hard to plant new. [:(]

And yeah, its not that big. There are bigger garden layouts out there. [;)]

   Have fun with your trains

That is a nice size layout, but you have to bring the Scale into the equation for the impact it brings.

A member of our district is building an N scale layout in Augusta, MO. that's 87' X 30'.
Now that's big. My home layout is only 10' X 14'.

Size may matter, but scale has to be considered too.
