Tower 55
Posted by breezer on Friday, January 11, 2008 10:34 AM
Question about Tower 55, or should I say "T55" locomotives. Does anyone know what minimum radius the SD70ace Heritage units will tolerate? Looking at their website it appears the GE units will take 22" radius minimum. It would be nice to know before I plop down a large chunk of change to order one and find out I can't use it!  Thanks, Breezer

Well here is my opinion that is just common sense for the question you ask.  If your layout has bigger than 22" radius it does not matter because judging by the ES44AC models I am betting it will be fine and if you have smaller radius you have to know that MOST 6 axle diesels by the other manufactures recommend a minimum of 22" radius so just go by that standard for this FUTURE model.  You would have to assume someone here

1. Already has one and knows what it will navigate thru

2. Is on the inside of T55 and able to have a pre release unit on hand to tell you

The chances are least likely for even #2 and definitely not a chance for #1.
