i need help iam switcging from steam to deisel
when iwas a little younger i had a set 38-2 that
were marked pencentral i had 4 of them. i have
looked every where inclouding the 2004 wealthers
cataloge can not any marked pencentral
canany one help me find 3 dummies+ 1powered,or
the decals to make them myself. they were blac with
white pc making on it.

I barely know one diesel model from another and don't recall what the models are that I have, but they were built by Lima of Italy and they are Penn Central black locomotives with white lettering, both powered. They are long engines with a narrow nose and the roofline and sides go straight back from the cab; i.e., they don't have a hood that is narrower or shorter than the cab. Are these what you are looking for? I bought through mail order from the U.S. when I was in the U.S. Army stationed in Munich, Germany, in 1976.

Based on the photo submitted by nfmisso the ones I have are not GP 38-2 -- from looking at photos on another Web site, they appear to be Fairbanks Morse C-32 locomotives.

Hi.Athearn's website says they still make a Penn Central GP38-2,costs $41.50.Try looking in the Walther's Catalogue under Athearn locomotives.Penn Central used to run a lot of GP38 locomotives through my hometown,I am also a PC fan. Joe G.

I agree with the comment on grammar, punctuation and spelling. You ask what he was trying to say? I think it was something about a pencil centered near 4 wealthier people, or something close to that. We seem to be headed toward total illiteracy in this great land of ours.
