Hello, I am looking for good American retailers that sell British model railroad items such as locos and rolling stock, and carries manufactures like Hornby and Bachmann Branchline. Can you please tell me of a good website or a retailer that has an e-mail address.
Thank you

You could try www.ehattons.com - they claim to be able to ship worldwide, I've always found them fast, efficient and helpful with any questions you might email them with. Unlike a lot of other stores, they only list on the website items that they actually have in stock. They're based in Liverpool in the UK.

I too like Hattons, and can attest not only to their prompt service, but to their speedy replacement ability. A Black 5 I received from them in August suffered from smoking motor, burning armature syndrome. Hattons had the replacement in the mail the day after they received my damaged model.

Hi,
I have used Georges Trains (Toronto) and they were prompt and without hassle. I was after Canadian road names which were very hard to find here in the U.S., specifically GO Transit. If I sought UK stock, I think I'd try the UK dealers as their selection would certainly be wider. Years ago I bought some N gage stock from a shop in Brighton and they were very prompt but that was years ago.

The British Railway Modellers of North America website
http://home.ca.inter.net/~brmna/index.html
lists dealers of British equipment in Canada and the United States. I know most of the ones in Canada and you should be able to get what you want from them.
