Need fine wire for electromagnets

I want to make some electromagnets, but am having a hard time finding suitable wire. The smallest gauge wire Radio Shack carries is 30, still to heavy. Does anyone know of a source where fine coated wire can be obtained?
Probably about the size wire they wrap the Athearn motor armatures with would be ideal. Thanks, Dan.
