I plan to add a harbor to my
layout. In researching lighthouses,
I read that a common beacon cycle
time is 2 seconds.
Hope that helps.

I am coding a controller application chip to provide controls to flashing LED and incandescent minature bulbs. These are intended for the hobby market and will support 2,3,4,5 discrete or 4 simulated beacon outputs. The coded processes will support 2 flash rates. Are there specific rates (on/off time) and beacon cycle time in seconds which could be widely acceptable? desirerable
