No I'm not saying anything bad about UP, I just thought that while where fighting over UP copyright junk we should be fighting over Rio Grande copyright junk. You see Rio Grande purched SP in the late 80's (which is why the new SP scheme looked like Rio Grande). In 1996 SP purchased UP (for some dumb reason they brought the UP guys in and got rid of most the SP/Rio Grande guys) keeping UP armour yellow. So it's Rio Grande's fault!!!

So we are getting mad at UP for no good reason. Sorry UP fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also UP, MP, and WP merged in 1982 so they have been out of busness for 22 years!!! You may read that UP does exist, yes they do but tecnically Ro Grande owns them!!!

Rio Grande does not exsists anymore. UP is the parent corporation.

Just look at what name is painted on the long hood and you will know who still exists and who doesn't.

Well really none of them exist anymore, you see the "LUNAR NATIONAL RAILROAD" bought them all up, so now it's really the "LUNAR NATIONAL RAILROAD AND STORM DOOR COMPANY"[:D][:D][:D]

I am not sure why he said SP got UP.
It was the other way around. And if ya think about it.
UP is the LAST class one to still have it's original
and real name, and company location ..... Omaha ....

I am sorry to inform you but following threads on these Forums (or is it Fora) the last weeks I think UP is considered FOUL LANGUAGE with fanatic posters, so you have to watch what you are posting otherwise you seriously run the risk of being verbally grilled by these Model Railroaders

BTW I am a UP fan as well, and there are some more of us around who would like this anti UP / corporate America b#lls@#![censored] to stop on this Forums (or is it Fora)

Okay guy, how come every time I start some poll everyone get all mad! This is a fact also (I have read this in a few publications) so don't act like I made this up! UPRULES the answer is Yes. You guys complain that I missed somthing almost every poll or topic and now its not fun checking out what people complain about or get mad over. Would you guys please stop this! I'm thinking about deleting my membership now.

P.S. I don't mean every single one of you. So don't take it personally.

Don't delete dougal, all this stuff generates lots of posts, and makes it fun to check the forum and to see who is lashing out today!
and if what you write is true, SP buying UP and than renaming themself into UP, they did that for some legal and political reason and at the bottomline: to rake in more [2c]
but that is a European point of view, might be interesting what the real reason were
