  Hi List

I have a Spectrum K4 that would only pull 3 HW cars on the grades at the club layout. I took the boiler off and stuffed as much lead flashing in it at every location I could. I tried to keep the weight balaced front to rear so on end would not be heavier than the other. Now it pulls eight HW cars with out slipping.

You can't add traction tires without chaniging the drivers because traction tires require grooved wheels.  Adding weight would be difficult due to the small size of the boiler, which already has a weight in it.

Traction Tires for Bachmann Steam

Hey Ya'll,

I am very pleased with my Spectrum 2-10-2, and I have planned to buy an undecorated Russian Decapod 2-10-0 next, possibly after christmas.

However, I have heard this engine's pulling power on grades isn't the best. Is it possible to add weight and add traction tires to the 2-10-0?

Cheese

Nick! :)
