And I forgot to ask Larry Olsen what the radius was on the oil refinary. I love the fall colors in Bob layout.

TGV... That brings back bad memories of a show awhile back. The club's 22/24" radii corners were a little tight for an annoying 8 year old running one of our 2 donated, TGV sets. hit the curve too fast and the TGV went flying into the nearby wall. That was the end of the TGV. The kid has since retired from the club but the TGV remains in pieces.

No model, that's the real deal! Thought it would make for some interesting prototyping.

Hi Corey,
Your photos of the store fronts are great. My only suggestion is that you show what is behind the windows of the store fronts. They appear to be boarded up! I like the shades in the upper windows. Bob

Well, I like what you have done. I would like to see this very scene when you have it finished if you wouldn't mind. Ballast, greenery, any little details. If you keep going like this, you should have a killer layout.

Crandell,
Thanks very much! I painted the rails first with a mixture of Grimey Black and Rust, then painted the ties with a mixture of Railroad Tie Brown and Grimey Black. The photo doesn't show the difference in colors very well; there are many ties that look like mud has splashed on them and others where they look like heavy oil has spilled or leaked from the locos. I may go back and hand paint some ties for a 'new creosote' appearance.
Don Z.
Research; it's not just for geeks.
NICE mark!
I did some trucks and lower body weathering...
I was really bored so I made a really bad movie...

I actually have something to post on WPF!!! After much trepidation, I ventured into the world of air-brush painting today.....

He's obviously a model railroader. Chics are drawn to guys like that. Or maybe he's just rich
Well, maybe not. Looking at that old truck and dilapidated house he's got.
On a similar note, I just got back from attending "The Great Train Expo" here in Rock Island. As I was browsing and purchasing items for my layout, I noticed several vendors ,mind you, selling little HO people by NOCH displayed in all sorts of sexual positions.
Now I know where little HO people come from I'd post a picture, but I'm sure it would get removed from the forum police LOL.
