runs fine on DC, until it broke, and then I had them fix it. Now i'd like to run it on DCC, so hence asking if anyone has any suggestions on how to convert it.

I got this engine a while back, and recently had it repaired under the warranty. I was wanting to get this to run as a DCC engine on my future layout and was trying to find any other experiences converting this to DCC and what encoder was used.

After doing some (unsuccessful) googling I have been unable to find any websites where a kind soul has posted their experiences with this particular engine. I was wondering if there is a 'standard' wiring inside engines made in the last 10 - 15 years that would explain what I'm looking at when I open it up and what I might need to do to to make it 'DCC' friendly. I'm not expecting noises, I'd just not like it to 'sing' when I put it on a DCC powered track.

I ahve a digitrax zephyr if that makes any difference for what encoder I might want to use.
