I don't know the size, either, but I would check at a hobby shop dealing with RC planes, they use similar means for control cables.  Take a sample with you.

Circuitron Actuator Cable Help???
Posted by ShadowNix on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 11:51 AM

Hey Guys,

I was tweaking my track and had to fix one of my turnouts on my double crossover... basically, I need a longer piece of steel wire for my Circuitron Actuator cable and I don't have (or can't find) a piece long enough! (I am not exceeding the 18" recommended, I just have tweaked and reused wire...) Anyone know what size this wire is (I don't have a micrometer (yet)) and where I could get some... I doubt home depot or lowe's have it. :(  Any help is appreciated.

Brian
