Thanks for the thoughts, but to keep this on task, I mean wood boxes...they have multiple levels and stack say 12 inches high, 8 inches wide and oh, about 2 feet long....

How heavy was this thing, empty?Dead [xx(] And how big was it?

Personally I like using my transport bags & boxes from Spring Mills Depot (www.smd.cc) I can easily carry a 70+ car train to a show and run it.

I'd rather spend my woodshop time building benchwork or permanent display cases for the house!

Hey all,

I was at the BEMRRC swap meet today and saw some SWEET wooden, layered carrying cases... I am thinking of joining my local club and thought building a 3 or so layer one would be great.  Anyone done this? Any pics, but more importantly, any PLANS out there?  I am somewhere between a novice and intermediate carpenter....  Thanks for any help!

Brian

P.S. I know there are other ways to carry/travel, but I love the look of these and want to build one someday...
