I've found this forum to be extremely helpful. [^]
I hope I don't jinx this by saying that there seems to be no "ego's" here.
Everyone here, I've found is here to have fun. Me included[:D]

I've found it very helpful for detailing and other prototype questions - has saved me having to buy expensive books to find the answers to one or two questions.

Absolutely helpful. I never feel as though a question posed here is too small or trivial for someone to provide help with. Plus, I've learned quite a bit just by reading replies to some pretty interesting topics. Great place for feedback.[:)]

Exceptional!

Lot of questions that I would normally have asked my LHS dealer or e-mailed MRR staff have been answered. This hobby for me has become more enjoyable than ever.

Very helpful. Lots of different ideas about layouts and equipment. It is interesting to see what others are thinking, modeling, and what they have for list of loco etc.[:D]

I've found the opinions and suggestions to some of my queries to be of great value. I enjoy the banter as long as it's good spirited.

I have found this forum extremely helpful to my modeling. I have found many tips and information that I would have never found in the traditional media (eg. magazines).

I don't actually come here seeking advice for the most part. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with those who have specific questions. On other topics, I share humor and opinion. I don't claim to be Mr Know-it-all. I do learn things here even though that isn't my primary goal.

My primary goal is to have fun![8D]

Helpful...but less so in recent days. In the past week, I haven't really found anything that's piqued my interest as far as topics are concerned. It's pretty much been the same sort of questions and....[gulp] polls! I'd add a post myself but I don't have any real inquiries at the moment.

Absolutely helpful! Before learning of this forum, I struggled with instructions in books trying to decipher their meanings and terminology, and made many OOPs by trying to read between the lines. Now, if I don't understand what I read or what someone is trying to tell me, I can ask the members and get a better understanding. Book learning lays a solid foundation, but it is the transferred knowledge and experience of others the will get the job done right.

For the most part, the forum is informative. But not the "what is the coolest/greatest/biggest engine" surveys......

I have found the forurm helpful and have picked up a few new ideas and I hope some of my replies have helped others.
That one of the things I like about the hobby, 30+ years and I am still learning.

There is no such thing as a bad day of railfanning. So many trains, so little time.
