I just sent you a PM and an e-mail using the icons at the bottom of the message you posted.
See if you get notifications of them in your e-mail system.

We'll get there sooner or later!

Email Options (for forum only)
Having Recieve Emails turned on will have PM alerts sent to your email.
That is exactly what I have, and I do not recieve e-mail notification of PMs. I do recieve e-mails from people through the site but not PMs. And yes, I have PM turned on.

howmus wrote:[Jeff, and where exactly is that option? I don't get e-mails notifying me to PMs even though I have e-mail turned on. The only other button I see is turn on e-mail notification for every single thread you have ever posted to everytime another person posts there resulting in a hundred or so e-mails a day..... Maybe under the profile options you guys need to select "recieve emails"?I'd hold off before doing that! I might be totally mistaken, but I seem to remember that when I accidentally enabled that option after the July 2006 forum "upgrade", I started getting email messages every time somebody posted to a thread that I was participating in. My mailbox filled up really fast, and I had a devil of a time turning it off. That's something different. What you're describing is email notification to post replies. Email notification to PM's is just that. You get an email when there's a PM for you.

Could be how the message is sent; at the bottom of messages there are buttons for "E-mail" and "PM". I have gotten messages that were sent as e-mails, they come as being from the Forum.

I never check the private messages either, just did and there was one from August. On another forum I participate it, a highlighted number shows up after the private message link, indicating you have one.
Thanks for the tip!
have you seen this in the list
sorry if I did not reply as soon as possible
but I think I will check this more often
