Guestion about a layout plan

Hi everyone.
I have a basic layout planned out and part of it will have a small isle in the middle to give easy access to the rest. Here's where i'm stumped: I want to run some track at the front of the opening on something like a door, but I don't know how to run power to those tracks. I'm mean, the're not going to be
connected to the other tracks. So could somebody help me out here? Please.

Here's what i'm talking about: everything between the two lines will be on the door. You can see what I meant by the track being seprate from the rest.

Hi;

Just use a short length of zip cord between terminals on your fixed frame and terminals on the swing frame, on the same side as the hinges are.

You should be running track feeders every three to six feet anyway......

Or a small plug in for the lift out. Use a phono plug. Go to Radio Shack and buy an extension chord for speaker cables or other low voltage system, one with a male plug on one end and female plug on the other. Cut the plug ends off with enough wire to connect between the layout and the bridge section.

I think he's talking about some sort of swing-out or lift-out section in front of a door.

Indeed, though, the best way to provide power is to provide an extra power feed just for that section. If it needs to be removable a phono plug or other two-conductor connector makes a fine quick attachment.

That's exactly what i'm talking about. You see this whole layout isn't much taller than a desk, and that part of the layout on the door (when open) will alow me to roll my chair into the isle. But you can't open and close the door when the track is all conected.
That's why the track on the door has to be seprate.
