The Trainman line are a great deal for the money. The drive is a carbon copy of the tried and true Atlas drive and the ones I have are all excellent runners. The detail on the shells is excellent including many detail parts found on higher priced models. There are no lift rings or grab irons, but rather drill locator holes for you to add your own (like the old BB Athearn). The chassis includes a PC board with a standard DCC socket for installing your own plug-n-play decoder. While not available with DCC or sound installed, they're a great engine.

Atlas Trainman locos

Just wondering what the level of quality these locos are? I'm looking into getting some new locos and have seen a few models that I'm interested in. I can't remember if what I already have is the Trainman variety or if it's a different Atlas model. I know they have the different variations with DCC & sound and the ones without.

Just wondering.

Thanks
