F&C kits can be a challenge.Anyone who has built their dunsmore hopper car knows what I'm talking about.I guess once you put some flat black and some weathering it will hide any imperfection(s)Good luck on the kit.
Well, I finished the main body of the F&C resin kit of a NYC gondola last night... today had a free few hours and atarted (well attempted to anyway) adding the brass/bronze grabirons to the car. I must've been a little off when I drilled out the body for the grabs -- EVERY one of them is either slightly too close or slightly too far to allow the grab to seat neatly into place. Not to mention the grabs themselves like to fly off into other dimensions...
Worst part about that is I drilled out the holes right at the dimples that I (apparently wrongfully) assumed to be there to help. Oh well, will just have to see what happens as I progress... If it comes out too horribly to put in a train, I caould always leave it holding old pipes and flues and whatever other scrap the roundhouse will br producing...
