I'd like it if Walthers would retool and rerun their 75' flatcar, as we have many fine 32' trailer models out there.
Southern and N&W MoW autos, and for CMW to rerun their '50 Ford pickups, '53 Ford sedans, '48 Ford wagons and convertibles :)
I'd like to see Model Power, or even Classic Metal Works, produce some HO farm tractors, particularly the Ford NAA/Jubilee which can also represent Ford's 600/800 series and with some minor modifications, the Ford 601/801 series. The row-crop variations, the 700/900 and 701/901 would be dandy too.
I'd like if it Life-Life brought back the three packs of Farmall tractors, all in red.

I really REALLY wish Walthers would re-release thier operating bascule bridge from the 1990's. Its been said something happened to one of the molds. Whether thats true or not I dont know. If it is, fix the dang mold and give us what we want. Im not about to pay 300 dollars on ebay for one.
Well as of today, 3/15/2011 I'm dreaming of the following all in Proto87:
MTH, BLI, Athearn or Walthers to produce the Southern's Tennessean with full width diaphragms. I'd be happy to see appropriate car sides too, as I know NKP-Car and Union Station make sides for numerous other cars on the train. Said full width diaphragms to be available at $20 a pair or less :)
Athearn to re-release their RS-3 in Southern's green paint scheme. The black and aluminum painted units are easy to find, but not the green ones.
BLI to release the N&W CF caboose they'd once planned to do. And also re-release the N&W H2a hoppers. Maybe also some of the N&W steel cabooses as well.
BLI N&W J, rerun, much like the last runs and hopefully with upgraded sound units.
An N&W S1 and S1a 0-8-0, it could also be modified to be a C&O locomotive of course.
Some more N&W and Southern heavyweight head-end cars :) a couple baggage cars are available, but no RPOs or combines.
I'd like to see Walthers bring back their Russell Snowplow, Only this time give us the Double Track version!!!

I wish that Bachmann would do ther paint scheme on their red engineI with yellow stripes with a blue engine. In fact, more manufacturers should do like Bachmann did. paint the locomotives, but don't letter them.
Oh yeah, and 1/87 scale ocean going ships.

I would say a NS or N&W C36-7, NS C39-8 and a SOU, or NS GP39X. Earl...

Walthers is making Name -train passenger trains but they leave some head end cars out
like NYC inside -door express cars similar to their outside door ones previously produced.
Also C&EI had kitchen troop cars with inside doors ,and baggage cars that would be seen on many
other trains like Wabash,Southern,ATSF etc. They make a nice PS 70' baggage car but some roads
had different door arrangements where Walthers could just add new sides to existing produced
bodies! Also would like CB&Q Denver and Twin City zephyr trains which actually look great
after they come out with a Chicago Union station bldging and headhouse!
Good luck in any effort to have model makers build TWO dome/observation models for the Q's DZ and KCZ. The DZ's dome/observation had the "rear"-mounted dome, the KCZ's the "front"-mounted dome. Finding just one of these models coming along would be great, although my guess is that the DZ dome/observation would be the first choice, not the KCZ's tail car.

A fireless steamer 0-6-0 like on display in Bellvue, Ohio.
Also there's a couple (to me) impressive looking early oil electrics from the 1920s or 30s. One looks like they turned the one into a double ended unit.
Also, I'd agree on the DM&IR 2-8-8-4, and also include the DM&IR 0-10-2

Since Walthers is doing the '48 20th Century Limited, for either them or BLI to follow up with the '38 version. Economically, it makes sense, as they'd be able to reuse the tooling for the Bridge (Plan 4069B, subtle differences from later versions) 4/4/2s and the RPOs, and they've already done "almost-there" on the 17/18-roomettes and 10/5s. All that's left is to cut tools for the diners, the 13DBR's and the obs and a little correction to the paint...
Even better would be to have it in the original '38 opex-blue outer stripes with broad center-stripes, '39 with silver outers and pinstripe centers, and ~'45 reversed-grays with pinstripes versions... maybe release with a Hudson, a Mohawk and a Niagara or pair of early-paint E7As respectively.
From there, all that's left for a '38 Broadway Limited is the PRR-specific sleeper/lounge, obs, diners, any crew-dorm and head-end...
Maybe a COLA/COSF from the same time. (All those prewar streamliners pretty much used the same sleepers aside from the "specialty cars", as opposed to NYC vs. PRR/everyone-else Pullman/ACF 10/6s which had the vestibules at opposite ends relative to the rooms... and since COLA/COSF pretty much had equipment built to the same basic plans as far as I can see, they could even be a combined project.)

I would like to see santa fe box cars that look very real for 8$, super cheif cars for less than 15$, santa fe abba set w/1 powered and 1 dumy a and 1 powered and 1 dumy b for less than 120$ and more santa fe and frisco steamers that are IN STOCK.
-edit- I almst for got, santa fe 2-10-10-2 for 100$ that can run on 22" raidus.

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....
2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.

The things I'd like to see the most right now are DME SD40s/SD40-2s and MNNR Alcos (or their CF-7). Most of those are just new paint jobs, a few there aren't any plastic models for right now.
BNSF SD70ACes that I don't have to pay the sound-equipped price for
Rail grinders and ditchers.
There are a few things that I'm in the process of trying to scratchbuild right now that I would otherwise include in this list, but for those I'd like to have my models finished so I can show them off for a while before everybody can just go out and buy one.
