Where do I get a Rivarossi tender?

Thanks for the help. I totally forgot about the Mantua tender, and strangely enough have one or two. I also have the Bowser SP1, as it came with the Northern I bought (still unassembled in the box). I did find more information on the D&RGW Challengers today. Built 1938, 3700 series, some Elesco feedwater, some Worthington, smokebox mounted air pumps either way! That gives me all the prototype I need. Thank goodness I freelance, makes things so much easier. Thanks again for all the help.

As I recall, you are not doing a UP Challenger.

Look on ebay, for both Rivarossi and Hobbyline Berkshires, you might also want to try Life Like (tell them yours fell on the floor....).

Rivarossi offers the UP Centipede tenders seperately in both coal and oil versions, Trainworld and others stock them.

The Bowser SP1 tender is similar to the early UP Challengers, which were later modified into fuel tenders for the turbines, and one (or more) have been converted (from turbine fuel tenders) into auxillary water tenders ffor 3985 & 844.

Another tender you might want to look at is Mantua's six axle one. It is generic, and fairly large.

if it going to be a UP challenger:
beware some challenger ran on oil, some on coal! I think with the engine # you can find this out at http://utahrails.net/up/paint/greyhounds.htm

Rivarossi sells UP Centepiede tenders. Go to www.internettrains.com or www.internethobbies.com. They should have what you want.
