When signing-up for the first time, I wondered about that myself, and there was no indication, that I recall, of what the result would be until I posted and found out what happened.

Thus I am looking at "Antony" (my pseudonym) on the screen identifying me as I type, and yet "Walter" (my real name, but one that no one calls me) will appear as the sender of this post. Nowhere have I run across even a hint as to my email address being available on the site. Similar to what was suggested to you already, I would recommend that you post to the original thread/topic/discussion and ask the person to contact you and then give your email address.

I tend to be cautious about where I post my email address, but have already done so on this site and had no problems.

Good luck,

Antony/Walter

The best way to do that is to post your e-mail address and invite them to contact you, IF they want to. Some people do not want to be accountable for what they post! The only forum I am familiar with that permits private posting without revealing e-mail addresses is Trainboard.

Is there a way on this forum to find out what someone's email address is so that they can be contacted privately?

I hope it's not right in front of me which would make this a ridiculous question.

Thank You,
Bob Guercio
