Great Picture 40's cars + Last Trolley of OK City

The new Classic Trains has another great picture of the beautiful old cars in downtown Oklahoma City and the sort of buildings we have no models of. I think the date is 1946, but could be 1951 tops.

Reminded me of Pasadena, CA in '53/54 except the cars were newer, Buster Brown shoes, Montgomery Wards, and no real tall buildings in background.

I'd like to model that look.

Also some great shots of a Streamlined Brill Trolley. Never knew.

The OK city picture reminded me of the great shot in New Orleans in the prior(?) Classic Trains, later '50s - anyone modeling that time frame should look
for details in those scenes. I like the look, a far cry from the buldings in every little Illinois town, popular in Walthers, DMP and other buildings. (I've seen more little Illinois towns in 4 years than many people who lived here all their lives)

I think all our trolleys went to Mexico City.... [C):-)]
