I obtained a Bachmann Spectrum 4-8-2 Mountain locomotive from a friend. The problem is that the wires need to be reattached to the circuit board. Don't ask why [:o)]. I didn't ask either, his son tryed something. Ok, back to what I need to know. I would like to know where each wire needs to be reattached to the circuit board. The wire colors are: Red, Orenge, yellow, Brown, and black. Any help would be appreciated. Tony

Send the locomotive back to Bachmann and they will replace it. They require a payment of $10 if the locomotive is under one year old, or $30 if it is older. Send the appropriate money order with the locomotive and they will replace it under their lifetime warranty. Those wires are too delicate to be successfully soldered back onto the circuit board without special tools even if you can get the color coding from someone. I own 3 Bachmann Spectrum Mountain locomotives and can tell you that those wires require extremely delicate handling to avoid pulling them out of the plug or off of the circuit board when trying to disconnect the tender. I know of at least two instances where members of the local club have had to send steam engines back to Bachmann because of wires getting pulled loose from the plug. In both cases, Bachmann replaced the locomotives instead of trying to repair them.
