YES, I know there were others who captured the same magic he shared with us...
YES, I've got a giant notebook of every article/photo he ever had published (I
THINK it's complete...) plus some other rarities that never got published...

NEVERTHELESS...
DOES anyone still own authentic original E. L. Moore models?
DOES anyone have unpublished ELMoore photos?
DOES anyone know what was in the left front corner of his HO Elizabeth Valley
RR layout?
DOES anyone have a complete list of his published articles/photos OUTSIDE
of what Trains.com index lists? (trackside photos, etc. I want to
make sure I didn't miss anything.)

AND YES, I DO have a life. But my fascination with ELM is like, a hobby within a hobby. Everyone loves the elusive collectible...

I totally agree! His work was charming to say the least. I particularly like how he was able to take some inspiration from something and make it what he wanted. He also seemed to do what he did with a large dose of humor. What I would like to see is a book composed of his different articles over the years. I have quite a few of his articles in my magazine library, but by no means all. Is there any other interest in a full book? I know that I would buy one. Happy Holidays!

I would buy such a book. I always enjoyed his articles and was sorry when he passed away and they stopped.

My book is pretty thick. I'll tell ya what:
Give me a day or two and I'll post a "complete" list of his articles, trackside photos and a few rarities. The Trains.com index is very good, but doesn't list trackside photos and stuff.

Is there somewhere I can scan in some rare photos?

What an interesting topic. It prompted me to check the magazine index. Wow, what a collection of material. Though I remember many of the articles, I never made the connection, until I saw the list. However, after seeing the list, one article stands out above all the rest for me.

Bunn's Feed and Seed, from August 1973. That was my first issue, of my first subscription to Model Railroader. I was 12 years old, and away at summer camp for 8 weeks. My mother forwarded the magazine to me. I spent hours, days, going over that issue, to the point that it nearly fell apart.

Today, it rests comfortably in a binder with the rest of 1973, stored neatly along with every issue from January 1950 to January 2004. Time to reminisce, and gather ideas, after all what's the point of having all those magazines, if you never look at them?

P.S. This is my 100th post!

Does anyone who loves scratchbuilding NOT appreciate the works of E.L. Moore, Frank Ellison and the like?
Speaking of which, I'm working on an Ellison compilation of my own. If anyone knows of unpublished photos of his Delta Lines, I'd sure appreciate your sharing!
