I saw one in a hobby shop logging display with a Shay going back and forth through a couple of switch backs. It would start at the bottom, stop after going through the switch, which automatically changed to heading up the grade, through another switch, and then finally up to the top, where it stopped, waited a bit, and headed down. It took several minutes, and was running continuously with no attention or concern about any failure.
