I'm sure that if you do you'll have many more exciting days like the one your dad came from the auction. From personal experience these places know absolutely nothing whatsoever about trains or their values. "The hunt", as l like to call it, is half the fun. The best place to start would be to check the yellow pages for these places. Also, be sure to be on the lookout for any flea markets during the summer. One of the best deals I got one time was at an antique store that had a box full of HO trains consisting of 10 engines and 40 cars (many of the cars were higher quality kit built ones) as well as a few other things for only $50 Canadian. If it wasn't for finds like this, my collection would be much smaller than it is. Let me know how it works out for you. I'll be rooting for you.
