I asked the "BIG GUY" for one of each out of the Walther's catalog, but will settle for some passenger cars for my SP F-7 Daylight and my E-6 Santa Fe. I especially need them for the Santa Fe, and pointed out the Sant in Santa Fe. Only time will tell if he (she) got the message.
We don't have a very good hobby shop for HO in my town, so I will be watching the mail for the tell-tale signs of Walther's tape, etc. Until then, I still have 13 more days to stew. (Until I got re-involved in model railroading, I never really got excited at Christmas time. Now tha I'm in my second (or 3rd or 4th) childhood, I get just as excited as my 8 year old grandson.

I have to agree. IF it isn't railroad, I hope they are broken hearted when I spend all my time with the railroad stuff. Any one that knows me knows I only want railroad gear.

I have a list of all the items I have now. It gets printed up each year so the wife and two boys of mine know what I have so when they go to the local hobby shop they get me new items. Merry railroading/christmas to all.

Of course ...... Christmas without trains, life without food. I always do a list .. The Eagle Pass & Moose Lake RR is continually growing. I usually put the generic items on my list ie: people, trees, vehicles, etc. I know it is the thought .. but if you don't you have to oooo and awe over a european brewery. You have to place it in the middle of your western USA mountain layout. And if you dont build it and find a place or prominence.... sometimes even kitbashing won't help.

I just received mine, a Broadway Limited E-7 for my Great Northern Empire Builder in HO. WOW! Sound is the only way to go! It is the key to realistic operation.
Now what do I do with the 15 various FT , F7 and switchers that I already have.

Absolutely there are! When my brother asked what I wanted, I told him to see page 21 under Product Reviews in the December issue of MR. So he checks. "I see--more trains," he said, laughing at the absurdity of his question. Not that he'll buy it, mind you--but he has something to go on. I want that HO scale EMD E7 A & B units in Southern Pacific livery like a dog wants a steak. I also want the complete set of Walthers' version of the SUPER CHIEF. This I'll order myself; I can't risk having someone conveniently forgetting to do so on my behalf. Beyond that? Well, my subscription to MR is up for renewal....[:D]

Our anniversary is in October, and we decided that our mutul gift would be a Christmas O scale layout to run around the tree. It was up and running just after Thanksgiving - a great early Christmas gift!

There's ALWAYS model railroad stuff on my Christmas list...EVERY year, silly. Got some of the Atlas SD-24's and the ballast hoppers coming, for example.

Nope. I do not want anyone in my family buying me anything train related. I've got enough RR clocks, plates, shirts, ties etc. As far as model railroading goes, they see something "cute" by Tyco and think it's a present. Nope, everyone has instructions that I buy my own RR stuff.
