Greg: check your local phone book or local paper and see if there is someone in your area that does woodworking or cabinet making, you can go and see them, explain what you would like and they could give you an estimate and if the price is within your wishing to spend you can maybe follow its building, make any changes as it goes along, and be happy with the end result. I have known a couple of people that are in not only railroading but other hobbies that have had display cases made for them, and are very happy with the results. God luck.
